Really solid breakdown. I read a lot of the longevity books and listen to all the usual podcasts, and it’s wild how often the basics get skipped — especially protein. Bryan Johnson can track every molecule in his body, but if you’re a dad over 40 trying to stay strong and athletic, hitting enough protein is the real unlock.

I see the same thing in pickleball. The 3.5–4.0 players I write for don’t fall off because of age — they fall off because they’re under‑eating protein and losing muscle without realizing it. Fix that, lift a couple times a week, sleep like a baby, and suddenly they move better, hit harder, and feel like athletes again.

Sometimes the “boring” rule is the one that actually changes everything.
