The 10-Minute Chart That Decides How Your Week Goes

You already know what a good week looks like. The problem is that knowing it and having planned it are two completely different things — and only one of them survives Wednesday.

BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front):

  • Expecting to eat well this week is free and feels great. It’s also the reason most weeks fall apart by Wednesday — expectations aren’t preparation.

  • The chart takes ten minutes and asks two questions about every meal: who’s making it, and is it prepped, planned, freestyle, or deliberately skipped.

  • Blanks aren’t failures. Stacked blanks are a risk map that shows you which day is going to break three days before it breaks.

  • When a day is out of your control, don’t write it off — accept the wildcards and adjust the one part of the day that’s still yours.

  • Before the week starts, circle the meal most likely to go sideways each day and pre-decide one fallback. That’s what makes Never Miss Twice automatic instead of aspirational.

Your Week Is Already Decided. You Just Haven’t Written It Down Yet.

How is this week going to go? Will you march forward toward your nutrition and training goals, or will you find yourself stumbling mid-week with the urge to start over on Monday?

I want to help you lock in the former.

I’m not saying you won’t stumble. But you’ll be prepared, and you’ll rebound.

This takes ten minutes. Do it with a pen, at the kitchen table, while dinner’s half-made.

Expectations vs. Planning

“We don’t rise to the level of our expectations, we fall to the level of our training.”

This quote is generally attributed to the Greek poet Archilochus, because if you want anything to sound epic, give it an ancient Greek origin. It more likely originated with the U.S. Navy SEALs, where it represents a cultural emphasis on rigorous training as the means to performance under live conditions.

You aren’t an ancient Greek poet. You likely aren’t a Navy SEAL. But this quote frames your entire week.

Expecting to eat on plan is easy. It’s fun, actually. Your brain releases dopamine when you think about all the success you’re going to have. Those thoughts are cheap.

The preparation is what matters. The more you commit to figuring it out later, the lower your chance of success during the week.

Setting the tone: I’m going to take you through a set of questions to make sure you’re ready for the week ahead. Answer honestly. Do the work your answers point to. Reap the rewards.

We’ll focus on the big three — Nutrition, Sleep, Training.
